Clockwork Orange was written by Anthony Burgess, an English novelist,
not Russian. :) He finished Clockwise Orange in 1962.
But in my opinion, spelling doesn't really matter that much but the way
writers construct sentences make it easy or hard to read.
Something not related to the subject:
I was reading "A Kiss Before Dying" as I mentioned earlier,
and I encountered a sentence which was a paragraph long!
(like some 15 rows, almost half a page.) The author was describing
a terrified girl trying to run away from a guy and how the guy was
following closely behind. (ps. it's not hard to read though.
He successfully created the tension in that scene that readers can
actually feel it.) I found it amusing. :D
