Environmental protection
The earth is the place where we live in, from infancy till death, which
offer us all kinds of necessities and resources, and can be called the mother
of all of us. Without the earth, humans and all forms of beings don't exist,
and there is only emptiness in universe. Thus, we ought to protect it from
being endangered. I think that the attitude for us toward protecting our
environment is simple; it's just to love it. Companies such as chemical
industries would sacriface a little money and for taking some measures to do
for the environmental protection. In addition, the best way for people to do
for the environment is to enact good laws and sign for good treaties against
contamination and squander on natural resources, and to do more scientific
researches for developing the technologies of economizing natural resources
such as fuels.
Humans in the world were living in peace with the environment for a
long time from the ancient time till one hundred years ago. There were trees,
flowers, and birds in even the flat parts of the earth; and people were content
with themselves in the years of ploughing the crops and reaping the harvests.
However, this beautiful scene has never existed since the population explosion
began in the world. Many leaders in industrial corporations forget their own
origin and lost their appreciation for the world, and they work only for their
self-interests and profits without considering the harms on future generations.
It is because they are lacking in love for other creatures, and they are
indulged in the pursuit of fame, wealth, and vanity. Their attitude toward
environmental protection would be crucial to it.
Besides, good laws and measures must be enacted for protecting the
environment. For example, punish those industries who emit dirty smokes or
filthy water. It would reduce the serious impact on environment. Defensive
treaties must be signed for bringing down the pollution in all over the world.
If one country does well for the environmental prtection, it will be rewarded;
but if not, it will be punished. The CBD, Convention on Biological Diversity,
is a good example of it. Moreover, if all people can keep the idea of
environmental protections in mind, it would be very common to do little acts
for evirmmental protection, such as carrying handbags when going shopping,
saving fuels by cutting down on the unnecessary use of them.
In conclusion, if we want to have a good environment on earth, it is
necessary to take it seriously; doing some actual deeds for it is at first
place, instead of saying one thing but doing another. If all measures and plans
can be carried our step by step, we can expect that our environment will
improve.
