The factors that having led to the overwhelming popularity of the
cell phone
Due to the rapid development of electrical engineering and computer
science, cell phones are invented in the world. It is the symbol of the new era
that people can communicate with someone or receive someone's messages freely
without the limitation of time and location. I think that the chief factors
which led to the popularity of the cell pohone are its indispensibility and
convenience, and their scantiness of time for living in the hectic world.
One chief factor in the overwhelming popularity of the cell phone is
that it can make people easier to contact others far-away and receive others'
informations at any time without waiting for telephone calls. It's almost
necessary for people living in big cities to associate with a lot of people
and deal with all affairs in daily life nowadys, so it's difficult for them to
get in contact with others only by spending a lot of time on transportation or
waiting for phone calls.
Besides, cell phone is regarded as a necessity in life, and a person
who has no cell phone is considered falling behind the trend. People are not
inclined to spend much on those who have no cell phone because it is less
convenient for them, and thus they may have fewer friends. Students often shows
of to their friends about the beauty and functions of their cell phones, which
brings about some topics for teens in their life. Moreover, many big
technological companies have developed a great improvement on the functions of
cell phone, such as displaying multimedia messages, taking photos, watching TV
programs, and so forth. It causes a great impact on people's life, and
naturally these facors are having led to the overwhelming popularity of cell
phone.
In conclusion, with the advent of the cell phone, the way of people's
life has greatly changed in modern cities. We need to confront with it, and
make the most of our cell phones to facilitate the life of ours.
