The songs I most enjoy singing The kind of songs I love and enjoy singing are good songs. No matter what genre of songs they are, such as popular songs, classical, jazz, blue, world music, ballads, my attitude toward the songs which I listen to is their artistic value. I treat all music without discrimination; good songs are good, and bad songs are bad. A composer who makes classical songs dosen't mean he is loftier than whose who are making jazz. In short, I regard all music as art but not amusement. The music which we can sing are popular song, jazz, world music, and so on. The songs I most enjoy singing are good popular songs, especially Jou Chieh-Lun's, Wang Kuang-Liang, or F.I.R.'s works. Of all contemporary popular song composers in the world, I think that Jou Chieh-Lun's works are second to none. It is almost the common memory of Taiwanese people that when straying alongside the streets, wandering in a department store, or eating a meal in a restaurant, we are really carried away in the caress of the fascinating songs such as "Unable to open the mouth", "Quite", "A low-ranking blacksmith in Milan", "The break of east wind", "The mourning of the cease of war", "Nocturne", "The snow-like hair", "Simple love", "The romantic cell-phone", and so on, all of which are created by him. And if one of these songs is broadcasted among many other songs, we may usually feel that it is by far more pleasant to listen to than others. Numerous Jay's songs which are not sang by himself are also created by him such as "The roof" sang by Wu and Wen, "Snail" by Hsu, "The sound of raining" by Chiang-Huei, "Migratory birds" by S.H.E., "The plaza of Prague", "Say love to you", "Why can't you even speak words clearly", "Rewind" by Jolin, "DauMaDane" by Lee, and so on, and most of which are very compelling. But if one wants to find examples of popular songs created by others and make a comparison with many of the greatest songs of Jay's by playing them at the same time, few could be found to be as pleasant and touching to listen to as his. Almost all of these songs I like to sing. In Taiwan, some less great singers such as Jolin, Yenzi, Wang, F.I.R., or S.H.E. also have a few great songs I like to sing, such as Wang's "The fairy tale", Tsai's "The plaza of Prague", Sun's "The moment", F.I.R's "Your smile", S.H.E.'s "Migratory birds", Huang Yi-Ling's "A letter without words", Chiang-Huei's "The sound of the falling rain", Chang Huei-Mei's "Sisters", David Tao's "The sandy beach", and so on. Although I am a boy and I can't keep up with the key of women's, I will still like to sing these songs. When singing "The 1943 of Hsanghai", "A low-ranking blacksmith in Milan", or "Ninja", I am spirited. When singing "Unable to open the mouth", "Where is the train destined to?", or "The second class of the third grade", I am enlightened. When singing "Nocturne", "By the name of the Father", or "The love before the beginning of the era", I am conforted. If I am asked that what is the song that I like most to sing, my answer would be Jay's "Unable to open the mouth". It's still the greatest popular song I have ever listened to. In conclusion, these are the songs I most enjoy singing. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.116.104.158
