and according to my experience, try to find "language exchange partner" is also not a bad idea. i don't agree with the saying: studying abroad is the fattest way to improve your oral problem. it is only a kind of "myth". if you really want to improve your oral, there are thousands of ways waiting you to make good use of. on the other hand, if you don't have the determination and patience about this problem, no matter how long you stay abraod or how much money you invest, usually the room of the improvement will be limited. i got this opinion, just because i've seen many people still speak poor english even studying abraod for quite a long time. i am not saying that it is impossible to improve someone's oral when choosing the way of studying abraod. i just want to express that i am kind of disagreeing this. back to the language exchange part. my experience is that, if you are lucky, you can find someone who has the same need/requirment with you. try to meet each other one or two times a week. tell your partner what you really want to improve, for example, your oral/pronunciation. maybe your partner also has her/his own specific needs, maybe something like she/he wants to know about chinese slang language more. (this is just an "example") no offense, just some self opinion :) ※ 引述《katiechan (瑋瑋)》之銘言: : ※ 引述《to31401 (飄零的幽魂)》之銘言: : : My English teacher said my pronunciation and intonation is bad. : : I think this is a big problem for me . : : It's said traveling or stundying abroad is fastest way to : : improve someone's English oral skills . Also, I think it will be better if you : try to read some articles loudly everyday, or talk to yourself in English : when you're taking a shower.Though it sounds stupid, I do it sometimes ^^ : I'm still learning to be a better English speeker, anyway. : Hope these will be helpful, and good luck!! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.150.134
