[Talk] Travel by moped
I love travelling by mopde. It's not costly, not many troubles, and as long as
the gas tank is filled up I will be ready to go. Last week I went out for a
short trip from Chung-hua to Feng-yun, Shi-Guan, and Li-yu reservoir. From the
odometer I knew the total length of that trip was 193 km and I was quite amused
to learn that. However, whenever I mention this trip to my friend, they seemed
to be uninterested and had an unlikely unanimous comment on me: You are CRAZY.
Well, that's not crazy at all. I knew of many people who rode their mopeds,
sometimes motorcycles, to travel around Taiwan, and that would definitely be
something! All those people who disagreed with my way of relishing the word
"travel" probably would enjoy more being in a faraway country, bracing the
exotic, romancing culture while totally having this land slipped off their
mind. Of course this is not always true. But I'd rather know better of the
place where I was born and bred, instead of dreaming some fancy land that's
hard for me to reach. Just a thought. :)
