I agree. It's a good way learning English from movies or dramas. It helps!
And I think you don't have to worry if the DVD is the latest one.
You can pick some movies you've watched, you already knew the story so you can
start to watch without caption more quickly.
Sometimes I'll watch Disney's movies, it's easier to understand than others.
Or you can just watch TV to practice your listening.
Try HBO, AXN, or other channel plays English movies,dramas, and programs.
Well, I guess not every drama is good for learning, such as "CSI", too
professional to me.
Many people speak English well without going aboard.
Trust yourself, you can do it in Taiwan.
