Ha, you have reminded me about one last name Hsueh-薛 Most people pronounce it like "shxt" as well~ When I was in University, most Taiwanese/Chinese students have English names But one of my profs insisted us to use Chinese name, and tried to pronounce correctly~ He said "all of you have a beautiful name, why use english name?" He understand why~~ ※ 引述《anoun (我要安全感!!!)》之銘言: : I would like to have an English namet too. : I used to use Chris, aka Christina for girls. : Or Tiffany. (Sounds like a girl from rich family and I don't : really like it) : Currently, I use my Chinese name, Tsai-Yin. : "Tsai" is my first character of my first name, not my last name. : But, people always call me "Tsai" or "Sai". : Its pronounciation really sounds like "shxt" in Taiwanese. : Could anyone give me some suggestions? : I don't want to be poopoo. : I would like to have an English name whose pronounciation is : close to my Chinese one. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 220.132.5.71
