Today I read an article in The Economist which describes the anecdote of qianlong emperor, one of the most famous emperors in Qing dynasty. It introduces an important display in Metropolitan Museum in New York which displays the Qianlong's imperial relics and the spirits of the Chinese culture. The exhibition displays the imperial pieses such as lacquered vase, golden floral carves, and even the gilded clock which was imported from abroad.
