I have watched the movie since I was a college student. I ever shared this one with my friends. The movie attracts me most is that it hasn't happened in my live. North Africa, mystery country in my mind. I hope I can go there one day. Return to the subject, English patient has begun when the airplane has been shooting down in the desert. Almasy was critically burned and transferred to Italy later on. Hana is a young beautiful nurse look after him, she is a heartbreak woman since her husband and best friend were dead in the war. The tragedy made Almasy can’t remember who he is and what he has done before. But when Hana read his book, the history, make he remember his darling, Katharine. A women was married his colleague, Clifton. He falls in love with her after an incident. Katharine get a glimpse of his handwriting which written how Almasy adored her in the desert storm. Katharine know the love is impracticable and ask for breaking up. Almasy can’ t accept the place belong to him (suprasternal notch) to leave him. An intentional airplane crash faced Almasy when he regarded Clifton come to collect him. Beyond his expectation, his lover gets hurt in the airplane. He took her to the swimming cave and left her with a promise he will come back with help. But his attitude and German like last name made him been misunderstood as a rivalry.
