[問題] 「他出生於1930卒於1998」的翻譯

介紹simple past(past perfective)時它用
"Il naquit en 1930 et mourut en 1998."
但是因為前面它說這是一個
「a literary tense that is very rarely used in spoken language」
所以我想請問一般寫法是不是用passe compose的寫法：
"Il est ne en 1930 et est mort en 1998."
