[問題] 語法修辭
During the nineteenth century Emily and Fanny journeyed throughout
Indian, sketching and keeping journals forming the basis of news reports
about the pricely states where they had visited
畫線部分是forming一直到最後面
我的問題點是 我看不懂書裡的解釋
他說這個句子錯的原因是因為 where代替the princely states在定語雙句
中本來應該作為地點狀語 但是visit是及物動詞 需要跟賓語 因而在where引導的雙句
中矛盾 故錯
我的理解是 賓語=受詞 定語雙句=我覺得是修飾語 問題是
他是說 我必須在visit後面加東西嗎?

the archenemy of cattle and sheep
這句說錯在and前後結構不對稱 and之前的state在雙句中作主語
and之後的state在雙句作狀語
有人知道以上這句話是在講什麼嗎?
