我覺得不是慣用語的問題,這題並不是單純比較energy而是比較energy+ generated,
這個比較是包含動作在內的,所以不能用it.
記住GMAT的一個大觀念,代名詞只能指代名詞,不能指代全句,或是動詞,所以要用the case
包含整個動作的"狀況".
至於PP詳解的那套說詞,或是美加的硬背,我是不會採用.
另外至於NOW要擺哪邊,我也覺得不是關鍵點.
