※ 引述《IAMQ (世上有妳會更好)》之銘言： : 小弟這裡有問題想請教各位先進高人 : OG 12th, CR, sample question, 第64和77題的文章都看得懂, 但是選項完全看不懂... : 64題的選項 : (A) The fi rst states the position that the argument : as a whole opposes; the second provides : evidence to undermine the support for the : position being opposed. : (B) The fi rst states the position that the argument : as a whole opposes; the second is evidence that : has been used to support the position being : opposed. : (C) The fi rst states the position that the argument : as a whole opposes; the second states the : conclusion of the argument as a whole. : (D) The fi rst is evidence that has been used to : support a position that the argument as a whole : opposes; the second provides information to : undermine the force of that evidence. : (E) The fi rst is evidence that has been used to : support a position that the argument as a whole : opposes; the second states the conclusion of : the argument as a whole. 題目看到第一個黑體字發現動詞用claimed，claim意思為"聲稱"，代表提出者的立場與看法，所以不可能為evidence，先刪除(D)和(E)。再看到第三行It is…到第二個黑體字，可發現由but所引導的黑體字與前半句的句意態度是相對的，且其內容並不是提出證據，故刪除(A) 和(B)，因此答案為(C)。 : 77題的選項 : (A) The fi rst and the second each describe evidence : that has been used to challenge the position that : the argument seeks to establish. : (B) The fi rst is evidence that forms the basis for an : objection to the position that the argument : seeks to establish; the second is that position. : (C) The fi rst is evidence that forms the basis for an : objection to the position that the argument : seeks to establish; the second is a consideration : that is introduced to counter the force of that : evidence. : (D) The fi rst and the second each provide evidence : in support of the position that the argument : seeks to establish. : (E) The fi rst provides evidence in support of the : position that the argument seeks to establish; : the second is that position. 題目在第一個boldface之後出現indicates"指出表明"，所以表示第一個boldface所扮演的功能為evidence，結果(A)→(E)都表示第一個boldface為evidence，所以無法刪除任何選項，故必需繼續往下看，indicates之後所引導的內容即為本題之論點，也就是題目的 position。再繼續閱讀發現第二個boldface之句意同樣是在提供evidence，故(B)和(E)刪除，且並沒有反駁第一個boldface的意思，故(C)也刪除，(A)則是因為題目中的2個boldface 並沒有在challenge論點，而是在提供evidence，故也刪除，所以答案為(D)。 : 這兩題的選項都很像, 但我完全看不懂它的意思呀... : 還請高人指點, 大感謝! （以上內容由美加莫清崴老師指導／助教提供） -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 1.160.25.85
