Evaluate: 對 argument 或是 plan 提出問題對於這問題的解釋有助於評估此 argument 或 plan 的適當性此題最基本的論點就是作者認為 promotion 是 gasoline sales increased by 10% 的主要原因 (A) 同地區的所有加油站的 gasoline sales 和去年八月相比表現如何 --> 正解，必須確認 10% 的 gasoline sales 增加量是地區性的還是 XT 因為 promotion 而單獨表現亮眼，才能確認 promotion 是否真的單獨造成此結果 (C) 買 10 gallon 以上的顧客是否會以比較少量，但是多次的方式來購買汽油 --> 意思就是是否有人會因為 10 gallon 就有洗車服務而把像是 20 gallons 的加油量分兩次 10 gallons 來做 (多賺一次洗車) 這個干擾選項非常非常多人選 (以我上課的經驗大概會有一半同學會選此答案) 因為大部分的同學會認為如果大家都用這種方式來多賺洗車服務那增加 sales 的目的就無法達成但重點是此題的 sales 增加的結果已經確定產生就算大家想多賺 car wash 但結論已經確認 sales 增加那還是有達到目的所以此題答案不選 (C) ※ 引述《happysister (...)》之銘言： : Last August the XT chain of gasoline stations had a temporary sales promotion : in effect in the promotion , any customer who made a purchase of ten or more : gallons of gasoline was entitled to a free car wash .
