Fallois proposed that
Proust had tried to begin a novel in 1908,
abandoned it for

what was to be a long demonstration of Saint-Beuve's blindness
to the real nature of great writing,
found the essay giving rise to personal memories
and fictional developements,
and allowed these to take over in a steadily developing
novel.
Falloi發現：
Proust在1908年開始寫一本小說，
然後又因為太想批評Saint-Beuve而放棄寫小說，而開始寫另一篇文章，
在寫這篇評論文章的時候，又文思泉湧，腦海中滿滿的都是
personal memories and fictional developements，
所以就把這些靈感化為一部穩定發展的小說。
所以Falloi描述Proust按照時間順序作了三件事：
1.開始寫小說
↓
2.準備婊Saint-Beuve
↓
3.婊人的時候靈感來了，所以又開始寫小說
題外話：
我傾向認為這句的重點在於這篇被一度放棄的小說。
另，單就這句來看，我會推測後來的評論文章可能沒有完成，
不過是否如此可能還要看前後文才能知道。
