在解題的時候碰到一個有關ever的用法的問題，其中他先給ever的用法說明如下: “Ever” cannot normally occur in positive sentence. “Ever” is an adjectival expression (ADVP) which occurs as an immediate constituent of S. in negative sentences, “ever” must be preceded and c-commanded by a negative constituent (e.g. by a negative Modal, or by a Noun Phrase containing the negative Determiner “no” as one of its immediate constituents. 然後給了一個ungrammatic的句子，要畫樹圖來解題。 Q: *Some Frenchmen would help no Englishman ever 我畫的圖感覺怪怪的，我是這樣畫的: S / | \ / M \ / | \ NP would \ | VP Some Frenchmen / \ / \ V NP | / \ help / \ / \ no Englishman \ \ ADVP | ADV | ever 如果是長這樣的話， no Englishman c-commands ever!!! 不就合他的規則了嗎? 有請高手指點一下!謝謝! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 111.243.175.75
