: 1. Some people think that the automobile has improved modern life. Others : think that the automobile has caused serious problems. What is your : opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. In the modern society, automobile benefits our lives a lot. Many things in our daily lives can't be done without automobiles. On the contrary, they also result in some problems related to us. On balance, automobiles bring more advantages than harms. A person in the present time can hardly live without automobiles. They're one of the most convenient transportation avalible to most people. Without automoblies, employers have to either walk or ride a motor to the office. One has to rely on other mass transportations to travel to another place, such as trains, planes, and MRT which are not so avalible as automobiles. Because of the convenience of the cars, people can go to other places more easily. Whether it's sunny or rainy, car drivers can communicate comfortably. Information can thus be communicated, and economic activities will thrive. Cars also offer a safer way than bikes or motors. Studies show that accidents happening to the motor riders are more than those to the car drivers. However, automobiles damages the environment greatly. Some older cars are not so fuel-efficient. As the oil storage is reducing rapidly, oil price rising, driving the car is not an economical choice. Those who drive alone especially waste the natural resources seriously. Besides, the carbon dioxide the cars produces lead to the global warming directly. If you walk on the street crowded with cars and buses, you can feel the heat let out by them. What's more, too many cars are usually the cause of traffic jams. Cars are not so mobile like motors and bikes do, so when many cars go on the road, usually the traffic problems will get worse. Though cars cause some harms to our environment, such as pollutions and traffic problems, if we take a closer look, they do bring us more benefits. As long as the policy could be made properly, automobiles are absolutely the "driving power" to the better future. ※ 編輯: philJamy 來自: 59.121.123.162 (07/04 01:14)
