Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Attending a live
performance (for example, a play, concert, or sporting event) is more
enjoyable
than watching the same event on television.
I disagree that attending a live performance is more enjoyable than
watching on the television. The reasons are as follow.
First, highly developing in electricity technique, people can readily
enjoy a variety of superior quality of television channels in these days. At
the same time, it is easy to taste a sense of reality. Therefore, if people
possess great stereo equipment and a wide-angle television, they can totally
involve in the real situation. For example, my father was fascinated in the MLB
, a famous baseball league in the U.S. So, he bought a 64 inches liquid crystal
television which made him as if he was right in the scene.
Second, having a perfect sporting event at home, people can do tons of
chores. Sometimes, people must do quite a few things, such as doing house
chores, exercising, gossiping with other; however, they are attracted to some
sporting events at the same time. If they just stay at home and watch those
fascinating events, not only do they save time in transportation, but they
also save money for buy tickets. Meanwhile, they can discuss those
events to their friend and enrich the social lives.
Last but not least, having a rest, people can entirely involve in the
concert. Nowadays, undoubtedly, the pace of lives are quite rush and people
often stress out as well as they always out of breath. Watching a palatable
concert at home, people do not need to care about other people . For example,
if people stay at home, they can curl their body on the bed or be a coach
potato which can relax them in this high pace of society and recharge their
energy for tomorrow.
For the reasons above, I disagree with the statement that attending
a live performance is more enjoyable than watching the on television.(307)
