3. People work because they need money to live. What are some other reasons
that people work?
I believe that there are many other factors that people work. My reasons are
as follows.
First, meeting a diversity of people who are not around themselves, people
can enrich their social lives. Nowadays, almost all groups of people have a
lot of pressure in their work; in addition, they usually have a rush pace,
especially in urban areas. If they can meet a huge number of friends, it can
help them take a breath and taste a lot of different activities in their
leisure time. For example, when I was a college student, I had a part- time
job on campus. I met a best friend, John. We had the same habits, such as
seeing movie, hiking and playing computer games so that we used to do those
activities together. At the same time, I acquired a great number of useful
experiences from him, and it also expanded my knowledge.
Second, having a busy work day, people can gain more sense of achievements.
Admittedly, People need the feeling of achievement. Although sometimes
pressure makes us feeling tired, it is the main ways to fulfill our goals. If
people do not have a goal to pursue, they will loss meaning of their life.
With work, it is easy to help people approach their dreams. For example, a
lot of people enjoy cooking; hence, they set a restaurant and reach their
dream whether it difficult. It is a really enjoyable work for them, though it
may not make a lot of money. I believe that if people strive for their work,
they can gain how many they paid back.
Last but not least, acquiring more helpful knowledge, people can possess a
huge number of work experiences for hunting future work. By accumulating a
variety of practical experiences between different business positions, they
will own terrific conditions to compete with others people in higher level
work positions. For example, as a freshman in society, businesses may not
give them a great chance to have a high-level business position, because
bosses may not trust them. If they can gain more experiences in lower level
positions at first, it will allow them making decisions both independently
and correctly. Therefore, they will climb the business ladder smoothly.
