1. If you were asked to send one thing representing your country to an
international exhibition. What would you choose? Why?
If I were asked to send one thing indicative of the characteristics
of my country, I would take lazurite, originated from the idea of Xia-Jun
Wang back to 1988, into my first consideration.
Most of people always pay lots of attention on how to imitate others'
ideas by which they can minimize the cost they spend or they just want to be
yes-men/yes-women, however, they skip the fact that creativity plays with
such an important role in every country. And Mr. Wang's work bring the
rich implication to the world that it turns out that the people in my country
can be so eligible for involving in such a ceative work instead of only in
those works copying someone's ideas.
Due to the reasons mentionaboved, I consider lazurite as the meaninful
work representing my country for not only the desire of conveying the matter
that Tainwanese are not always the followers to the world, but also of giving
local people the implication of every thing being possible if you want.
