除了房客造成的損壞，房東(landlord)必須負責修繕屋內設備，簽訂租約(lease)前應
達成共識。
◎ 暖身練習句‧就要這樣學：
→The faucet is broken and the toilet is clogged up again.
(水龍頭壞了，馬桶又堵住。)
→Use the plunger. If that doesn't work, I'll call the plumber to repair it
right away.
(先用馬桶塞通通看，不行的話我馬上叫水管工馬上來修。)
◎ 關鍵字：plunger 通馬桶用柱塞 / plumber 水管工
◎ SOS 好用句：
1. There's no water. (沒水了。)
2. There's no power. / The power is out. (沒電了。)
3. The water's not draining (from the sink/bathtub/shower).
(水不會流(下水槽/浴缸/淋浴間))
4. It probably needs some drain cleaner. (可能需要一些通樂。)
5. The faucet is leaking. (水龍頭在漏水。)
6. The toilet doesn't flush. (馬桶不能沖。)
7. The window is cracked/broken. (窗戶破了。)
8. We've got ants/bugs/cockroaches/rats/spiders.
(這裡有螞蟻/蟲子/蟑螂/老鼠/蜘蛛。)
9. The heat or A/C isn't working. (暖氣或空調(air-conditioning)不能用。)
