It really irritates me that they don't report the news accurately. Student B: That trend is symbolic of how the popularity of TV stations depends on the extent that they can entertain viewers. I think it's a symptom of the expansion of pop culture into all areas of society. Student A: If the stations want to gain more prestige, why don't they reproduce the news in a more intelligent manner? Student B: The recent variation on newscasts seems to magnify their audience and help them to prosper financially. Student A: Yes, but I find it unusually synthetic. Student B: Well, maybe they will be able to find better harmony between news and ertainment in the future.
