眾文TOEFL iBT 托福分類字彙，第8篇，Confederate States of America 1.第三段第一句 The constitution of the Confederate States reflected the then prevailing belief in the South that slavery was the only practicable status for the large black population of that section. 書上的翻譯是，"南方邦聯政府的憲法反映出當時盛行於南方的看法：南方人口眾多的黑人為唯一能夠得到的地位就是奴隸" 我自己翻譯是，"南方邦聯政府的憲法反映出當時盛行於南方的看法：奴隸對那些眾多的黑人人口來說，是唯一可獲得的地位" 但是我在翻譯的時候，我不清楚of that section是指什麼東西因此我的翻譯跳過那段，但即使看書上的翻譯跟我的翻譯，也看不出差異請問各位，那個of that section是要怎麼翻譯才好，或是它是指什麼東西呢，又或是他沒有任何意義？ 2.第四段第一句 The remainder of the constitution was largely based on that of the Union from which the states of the lower South were withdrawing. 書上的翻譯是，"南方憲法的其他部分大多是根據這些地方州政府退出的美國聯邦憲法而制定" 那個lower是甚麼意思呢？（難道翻譯之後是"這些"？）謝謝各位 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc), 來自: 1.171.67.129 ※ 文章網址: https://www.ptt.cc/bbs/TOEFL_iBT/M.1435849694.A.971.html
