: : The accountant needs realistic numbers on which to base his plan.
: Here is a straightforward sentence:
: "The accountant NEED TO base his plan on realistic numbers."
: One may rewrite it as:
: "The accountant NEED realistic numbers TO base his plan on ."
: But to end a sentence with a preposition is sometimes considered substandard,
: so we follow what iwwe has suggested and put that "on" in front of "which."
而which就是realistic numbers?
如 which the accountant can base his plan on (再把on放在前面)
I don't know what I should do.
( I don't know what to do. )
: → iwwe :on which to base his plan是老外比較常用的文法 02/07 06:36
: → iwwe :same goes to "to which", "for which", "by which" 02/07 06:36
