[問題] 有關英文介係詞

話說，我最近把以前的文法書拿出來翻了一遍，
看到介係詞的地方，突然想到一些以前不曾想過的問題。
介係詞，提到位置 in , on , at , next to , above , under , behind
他說了：在箱子裡，叫作 in the box
在箱子上，叫作 on the box
在箱子旁，叫作 next to the box
在箱子上空，叫作 above the box
在箱子下，叫作 under the box
在箱子後，叫作 behind the box
我的問題來了，搭公車，叫做：on the bus 為什麼不能是 in the bus?
在家裡叫作：at home 或是 in the house 為什麼不能是 in home 或是 at house?
在房間叫作：in the room，可是在圖書館卻是 at the library
為什麼不可以是 in the library?
還是說也可以？？
因為我問老師這個問題，他也答不出一個所以然來。
我自己是有想過，是不是會動的，就是用 on?
不會動的用in?
比較有可能會有公眾人在走動的，用 at?
那廁所又怎麼說？ at restroom? in restroom?
那，
in the hospital? at hospital?
in class? at class?
at school? in the school?
這些呢？
在火車裡，用 on the train，那 in the train呢？
那在火車站train station，又要怎麼用？
on tha train station? in the train station?
有沒有人會這樣的問題？
