5點半的英語口語是 half past five,
注意:half after five是錯誤的用法!
P.S. 請帖上面可以寫"half after five o'clock"要記得加o'clock!

Time of day should be spelled out as “four o'clock” or “half after four
o'clock.” Note that “half after” is the most traditional way to indicate
time. However, less formal invitations can use “half past four o'clock” or
“four-thirty.”

我想起許多年前有位網友dunchee一直跟我爭辯half after...也是正確的用法。
我很無奈地問他:"你人就在美國，你不能問美國人嗎?"
最後他終於修改了自己的看法。
