Research Fellow in Simultaneous Nanomedicine/MR Neuroimaging
Institute for Translational Research in Biomedicine, Kaohsiung Chang Gung
Memorial Hospital
We are seeking the postdoctoral fellow to join our team in the field of
simultaneous Nanomedicine/MR imaging in neuroscience. Our research focuses on
developing and applying novel nanomedicine and MRI application to investigate
the microenvironment of neurodegeneration and neurological disorders.
We have training projects in the following area: (1) Quantification in
neurotransmitter dynamics and nanomedicine in animal models, which are
applied to neuroinflammation and neurobehavioral developmental disorders; (2)
Assessment within neurovascular coupling/function on nanomaterial kinetics,
which are subjected to neurodegenerative disorders and inflammation.
The positions are available immediately and the term as a Ministry of Science and
Technology (MOST) and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital research fellow will be 1
year with the possibility for extension based on performance and funding. The
considered candidate will need to be highly motivated with the intention to
begin an independent career-related neuroimaging and nanotechnology.
The applicant requires a Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics, Biomedical
Engineering, Computer Science, Neuroscience, or related fields. However, we
will also consider candidates of any scientific background. This position
requires experience in analyzing medical imaging data. Experience with MRI or
nanotechnology is favorable. Extremely capable candidates with minimal
imaging experience are still encouraged to apply. Great written and oral
English communication skills are required. Additional Skills/Abilities/Competencies: the job requires a candidate who is mature,
responsible, and flexible with excellent organizational and people skills.
She/he must be able to work within a fast-paced environment, able to solve
problems or troubleshoot independently, multiple tasking, and seek assistance
when appropriate.
