https://reurl.cc/L7Z6oa Position description A Research Fellow positions is now available in the bIomedical Knowledge Empowered AI lab (IKEA lab) in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics under the mentorship of Dr. Nansu Zong. Dr. Zong is specialized in computational drug repurposing and deep learning-based predictive models. The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics Research is an emerging hub in biomedical AI and has a strong connection to Google, the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). This position is expected to: Utilize state-of-the-art of deep learning and machine learning models to build predictive models for diverse applications in biomedical informatics (e.g., computational drug repurposing, and outcome prediction of treatment based on EHR) Work with large-scaled biomedical datasets (e.g., knowledge graphs) and patient electronic health records (EHRs) Coordinate and oversee parts of the research project Work closely with top-notch physicians from Mayo Clinic The successful candidate will: Have a degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), Biomedical Informatics, Biostatistics or related field with solid programming skills Be experienced in one or more of the following areas: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Semantic Web/Knowledge graph, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Biostats Demonstrate good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment Please send your application (English) to Professor Zong at “ Zongns1982@gmail.com” or Kyle Meek-Nelson at “MeekNelson.Kyle@Mayo.edu” with the position name in the subject line. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
