一般比較級的公式是
S+beV/V 比較adj./adv. than any other+單數N.
all the other+複數N. --> 同群體比較
e.g. Taipei is busier than any other city in Taiwan.
any+單/複N.
all+複N. -->不同群體比較
e.g. New York is busier than any cities in Taiwan.
但是
學生跟我說 他們老師造的例句:
1. New York City is bigger than all other cities in the USA.
(Q. 可以用 all other cities?)
2. New York City is bigger than all the cities in the UK.
(Q. 可以用all 'the' cities?)
3. No city in Taiwan is as big as New York.
(Q. a. 不是 No other city in Taiwan is as big as New York. ??!!
b. 學生表示 他們老師說 如果有加"other" 表示New York也是台灣城市之一)
