What is economics?

1.Marshall (1890):
Economics is the study of man in the ordinary business of life.
經濟學是研究人類日常生活所作所為的學問。
: Robbins 認為經濟學是 "將人類行為作為目的與可以有不同用途的稀少
: 資源之間的關係來研究的科學" (the science which studies human
: behaviour as a relation between scarce means having alternative uses).
2.Robbins (1932, 2nd edition, 1935):
Economics is the study of "human behavior as a relationship
between ends and scarce means" with alternative uses (1935, p. 16)
經濟學研究的是人類行為如何連結「稀少性資源」和這些有不同用途的資源
所能達到的目的。
3.以前唸過的定義：
Economics is a study of how society produces and distributes goods
to satisfy the wants and needs of their members.
經濟學研究的是社會如何生產、分配商品與勞務來滿足社會成員的需求和慾望。
4.我個人認為的定義：
Economics is a study of institutions and human behavior (reactions
to institutions)
經濟學研究的是制度環境以及人類(在此制度環境下所產生)的行為。
也就是「上有政策，下有對策」。
以此淺見，謹供參考。
