[請益] 請問一下..
During a very successful career in the shipping industry,
Mr. Davis had acquired more wealth than he knew what to do with.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
下面這句，請問一下：
它如果只有what to do, 我就知道它是什麼意思，可是它現在尾端加了一個"with"，
所以請問這裡是指什麼丫~
另外，
它前面用had p.p.(had acquired)，後面用p.t.(knew)，所以是不是Mr. Davis他
(時間上)比起"過去"know what to do with，
他"更過去"獲得更多的財富(acquire more wealth) ?!
total的意思：
"Mr. Davis經過在運輸業一份非常成功的工作，比起他knew what to do with，
他之前獲得更多的財富."
可是這樣語意好像怪怪的，既然是(後來)成功的工作，那怎麼會"之前"獲得更多的財富?!
2個問題，還請各位大大指導一下~
