I do not think you must help her.It's unnecessary!!
After all,"Honesty is the best policy."
You don't need to help her tell lies and cause lots of trouble
or responsibility eventually.
Tell her about your position,I mean "take your position".
If she doesn't accept your position, it is not worthy for her
being your friend.
