according to my experiences
you have to pay more attention to your text book
when i was in the senior high,
i always spent 2 hours studying every lesson
and you have to memorize well the vocabularies as well as the collocations.
For example, you have to know very well which proposition goes with which verb,
i suggest that you had better memorize the sentences in every lesson
so you will know very well how the sentence constructs
but, you can't just do it without thinking
at the time you try to memorize it, you have to think about the sentence
structure, besides, i also recommend some english magazines which will enrich
your english knowledge, such as "Advanced English" or any other you think that
might help you to know more English.
and finally, you had better listen to English radio,
you can listen to the mazagine programmes or BBC/CNN
which can also train your reading and listening...
