[Talk] Today on the bus to school
I am a commuter. Everytime I go to school, first I take
the 226 bus to the stop down the Taipei Bridge. I get off
the bus, and wait for the bus which will take me to the
Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and there I'll have to wait
again for the bus which will travel to our school.
Ok here is the thing. Today on the bus to school, I heard
a white woman (a foreigner) at the back of the bus (I was
at near the front) talk to her little kid, 1 or 2 years
I guess when I at the end saw she and her son get off
(she let her son walk himself/herself maybe because if she
had carried one of her hands would have been occupied and
that would have made her movement on the bus clumsily and
inconvenient)
Actually it's not a big deal. The kid is really cute and adorable
, especially when he/she was taking the steps...you know, babies
who just learn to walk are all like that...the toddling .
The point is for me. I discovered that I can, I really can follow
what a native English speaker said! That made me ...glad! Because
it means my listening made some progress!
Ok......the a little funny part is when I heard the woman say to
her son:
"You want to play the toy? You want it?....."
"This is two hundred dollars...They are dangerous.....they are dangerous.."
When I heard this, I couldn't help but have sort of a "="=" .....why
would it be so dangerous? Hello? Is anybody here?......
All right. Maybe I misunderstood something....but anyway it's kind of fun
