Alas, I don't adore Jesus Christ. And a lot of people don't give a damn either.
Yeah, sure, people who prefer not to complicate their lives want to live
in a world where they can trust others. I'd love to live in a place where
everyone is trustworthy. I'd love to live in a carefree world and slack off
everyday.
But you know, life just ain't that easy.
The simple fact that you can't blindly trust others is why this universal
intrinsic value is not so universal at all.
Why did you get mad at the rich successful rude people in the first place?
How could they, as you had pointed out, live a life where all relationships
were about using others? Their trust is simply built on profits. Their
existence nullifies the meaning of my answer to your question.
Love? Many women marry for money instead of love. Love is not almighty.
If things could be solved by love so easily, then there'd be no war,
no conflicts. But there is war, there are conflicts.
People will always care about the profits.
The simple truth is that resources are limited. When there are limited
resources, there can be profits, and when profits are involved,
conflicts will be born. You can't talk someone out of caring about the
profits with "love".
People are selfish. Even their love is selfish, and when love is selfish,
love is not as almighty as you claim it to be.
However, I won't say that you thinking the way you think is wrong. I see
the point in believing that people are all virtuous, and I see the point
in arguing against my cynical views...
I just don't agree.

: : It makes living slightly more tolerant. Most people want to believe that
: : there is a set of universal values as well, I assure you. But I think it's
: : because they don't want to imagine a world where morality does not exist,
: : they won't ever be able to trust others, and living fearful everyday is just
: : pretty tiresome, if you think about it. My mom, for example, would agree with
: well, think it in a more simple way. Would you like to hang out with someone
: whom you can trust and won't hurt you, or someone who is evil and will hurt
: you? then you know the answer.
: Also, some values are intrinsic and universal.
: i mean you can test it by time and space. It's hard to imagine at first...
: but think about it carefully. Why is Jesus Christ adored and loved by human
: for so long? It's the love that touches them. Love is universal and intrinsic,
: and applicable to everywhere, even independent from time.
: so, your mom Loves you. That's why she taught you so, because she does not
: want to harm you. That is Love.
: : you. She is horrified that her daughter doesn't agree. But as I said, people
: : will never understand one another, so those who don't agree with me won't
: : ever understand why I don't agree. Eck. What a shitty sentence.
: : Despite all I've typed, I'm just a part of a small minority.
: : Most humans are alike, in the end.
: : So yes, most humans will share values and beliefs.
: : Though, as you probably already noticed,
: : I have a thing against absolute terms. Thinking in absolute
: : terms limits our reasoning. Which is why I settle with:
: : "I don't agree, but I don't think you're wrong either."
: : Yeah. I type long-ass essay-like replies.
