※ 引述《eaquson (崩崩崩)》之銘言: Yesterday,I got this "musical offering"CD of the pianist who just visited TW. This is the sort of recording I always anticipate, in which the different voices of Bach's fugue are so independent that I can not believe it is played by human's two hands. The exllence of his technic reminded me of the Shostakovich Op.87 recording of Taiwan pianist 林佳靜. The ricercar a3 is much better than that of Tatiana Niklayeva, though the later is warmer. Its ricercar a6, the famous six voice fugue dedicated to Frederick the Greart, is played with a brisk tempo. Instead of showing the complexity of this work, he makes me feel that the fugue is idyllic yet every single note is clearly played without hesitation. I recommend this recording to Bach lovers and I feel sorry that I did not go to his "the art of fugue" concert in Taipei. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The rhythm in his art of fugue recording is remarkable. This rhythm comes from the contrast in volume of different voices. I wonder how he coordinates his hands to play each voice with different strengh. The rhythm is joyful to me. I have not experienced thing like this in the recordings of Pi-Hsien Chen, Sokolov, or Niklayeva. It is also different to the jazz-like playing of Glenn Gould. There is a slight change of tempo in GG's Bach, so it is sometimes jazz-like. But Leifishitz's performance is quite another thing. -- ※ 編輯: eaquson 來自: 218.164.149.62 (07/13 19:20)
