The systematic clearing of forests in the United States not only created : farmland (especially in the Northeast), giving consumers relatively : inexpensive houses and furniture, but it : 想請問各位前輩為什麼答案是B 而不是D呢? : 我知道B的文法是對的但是他的句意用not only...but also是不是有點怪 : 因為一個是好事一個是壞事 : D的問題是最後那個it 可能指代到整件事但前面的單數名詞也是clearing而已 : 還是說因為A的clearing of forest不能做gave consumers...這個動作所以句意錯誤呢? 這題是陷阱題, 在OG12版裡面有類似的題目, 但是在OG卻是選not only..but also...的答案. 這樣說好了, 在解題上, 如果有看到not only, 一定要看but also平衡, 所以這題可以很確定的排除掉A/E不平衡, D選項找不到主要子句為fragment sentence也很確定可以排除. 重點在於B/D, 如果你發現刪到兩個選項只剩not only X but also Y及表對比的X but Y 就要注意X/Y是否為同方向, 同方向要用 1. not only + but also + 2. not only - but also - 這題create farmland and give inexpensive houses應該是好處＋但是cause erosion 應該是壞處 - 所以要用表對比的 1. + but - (答案D) 2. - but + 答案D選項的it是在指代The systematic clearing of forests in the United States 並沒有指代整件事. -- A兔GMAT作戰中心 http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/tootoo5478/ 歡迎加入A兔的FB社團A2 GMAT掌握最新考試資訊! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 111.248.75.23
