(D) because of moisture that was exhaled by tourists raising the humidity within them to levels so high as to make the salt from the stone crystallize (E) because moisture exhaled by tourists had raised the humidity within them to such levels that salt from the stone was crystallizing D選項的Ving有修飾tourists的歧義，就算是because of moisture raising ... 也會形成句意斷裂：because of moisture (which raised...) 「因為濕氣」(升高濕度變成了只修飾moisture的成份) 而完整的意思應該是「因為潮濕升高濕氣(這個動作)」 OG解釋： the entire construction is awkward, wordy, and ambiguous 正確選項E則用because子句，完整的「潮濕升高溼氣」的動作表原因。同理Prep題目供你參考： [Because of wireless service costs plummeting in the last year, and as mobile phones are increasingly common, many people] now using their mobile phones to make calls across a wide region at night and on weekends, when numerous wireless companies provide unlimited airtime for a relatively small monthly fee. 錯誤選項 A.
