有三題填空想請教大家~~ 1. Section54, #1 Only by ignoring decades of mismanagement ad inefficiency could investors conclude that a fresh infusion of cash would provide anything more than a ________ solution to the company’s financial woes. (A) fair (B) temporary (C) genuine (D) realistic (E) complete Q: 這題的句型一直看不懂，好像有倒裝卻又不知道怎麼倒回來。對”only by”和” anything more than”的意思也一直轉不過來 >< 除了這題的問題外，不知道類似的句型要怎麼補強呢？ 2.Section 55, #6 The labor union and the company’s management, despite their long history of unfailingly acerbic disagreement on nearly every issue, have nevertheless reached an unexpectedly ________ , albeit still tentative, agreement on next year’s contract. (A) swift (B) onerous (C) hesitant (D) reluctant (E) inconclusive 書上解釋是, 這題是特殊轉折關係: 兩個形容詞用轉折關係詞連接，共同修飾一個名詞。 ”an unexpectedly ________ , albeit still tentative, agreement”，空格與tentative構成”轉折但不能互為反義”的特殊關係，大多為”褒貶轉折”。 (A)swift和tentative都是說時間短暫，但有褒貶轉折。 Q: swift和tentative褒貶的區別是? 3.Section 78 #5 She was criticized by her fellow lawyers not because she was not ________ , but because she so ________ prepared her cases that she failed to bring the expected number to trial. (A) well versed…knowledgeably (B) well trained…enthusiastically (C) congenial…rapidly (D) hardworking…minutely (E) astute…efficiently Q: 空格二我覺得要填”粗心大意”，或是”匆忙準備”之類的詞， (C)的第二個詞感覺最接近以上的意思，但是(C)的第一個字似乎又和句子沒有關係。答案是(D)，但放進去我覺得空格二怪怪的，翻成中文是: ”因為她的詳細準備以至於沒有帶大家預期的數字上法庭”，感覺句意不通。 ”the expected number”在書上的翻譯是帶到法庭審的件數，而不是上法庭需要的一個數據(我的理解是這一個)，只是如果是前者，”number”應該要是複數吧？不好意思麻煩大家了，謝謝~ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 130.85.254.207
