Re: [問題] 請問一題語析
※ 引述《howardawn (arbitary)》之銘言:
The data below is from Tonkawa, an American Indian language of Texas.
There are three sets of words, each built on a stem with a single phonological
represetation. The affixes attached to these stems are [o?] "THIRD PERSON
SINGULAR SUBJECT", [we] "THIRD PERSON PLURAL OBJECT", and [n] "is...ing".
(?=glottal stop)
(a) notox 'hoe'
(b) notx-o? 'he hoes (it)'
(c) we-ntox-o? 'he hoes them'
(d) notxo-n-o? 'he is hoeing (it)'
(e) we-ntoxo-n-o? 'he is hoeing them'
(f) picen 'castrated one, steer'
(g) picn-o? 'he cuts (it)'
(h) we-pcen-o? 'he cuts them'
(i) picna-n-o? 'he is cutting (it)'
(j) we-pcena-n-o? 'he is cutting them'
(k) netl-o? 'he licks (it)'
(l) we-ntal-o? 'he licks them'
(m) netle-n-o? 'he is licking (it)'
(n) we-ntale-n-o? 'he is licking them'
1. Formulate three vowel deletion rules that ae needed to derive
   the surface representations.
1) V→ψ/__#
2) V→ψ/__V
3) V→ψ/#CVC__CVC (這我不確定orz)
2. Give derivations(i.e. underlying forms, rule applications, surface forms)
of 'hoe', 'he hoes them', and 'he is hoeing (it)'.
UR /notoxo/ /we+notoxo+o?/ /notoxo+n+o?/
2) vowel deletion -- we+notox_+o? --
3) vowel deletion -- we+n_tox_+o? not_xon+o?
1) vowel final deletion notox_ -- --
SR [notox] [we-ntox-o?] [no-txo-n-o?]
three rules are mutually non-affecting. (這我也不確定XD)
錯誤應該頗多啦,希望有人修正orz
