Re: have one question
You should decide either to agree or disagree with the topic statement.
Then, you should use reasons and examples to support your choice.
There is no right or wrong answer. You can also choose to provide a
neutral argument, but that makes it a little more difficult to write.
In general, a good strategy is to pick a side and stick to it.
The form of an essay for the TOEFL writing test is very general.
You should have an introduction and a conclusion. Between them,
you use your body paragraph(s) to explain your reasoning or list
your examples or evidence.
Since a typical TOEFL essay is maybe 200 words or a little longer,
there really is enough space for two body paragraphs.
One common strategy is to write the introduction, give two examples, and
write the conclusion, totalling in 4 paragraphs.
Another common strategy is to write the introduction, give one example,
give one counterexample, and then write the conclusion. (起承轉合)

: should we stand at one side?
: I have totally no idea about the TOFEL exam
: so I don't know what the best policy is for writing in TOFEL
: i.e how many paragraphs?, any writing principle should be followed ?
: this makes me stop before writing something down
: hope someone could tell me above questions
: thanks!
