: 5. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Games are as : important for adults as they are for children. Use specific reasons : and examples to support your answer. I agree that in some cases, games are as important for adults as for children. Child likes to play games, in which one can interact with others, and enjoy the excitement of winning and losing. Some adults are interested in games, too. However, I don't think games are as essential for all adults as in their childhood. What's worthy of notice for kids may not be the same for adults. Adults tend to view something, such as business, work, or politics, as more valuable than games. They think they're matured, and have no more need to play those "childish" games. Therefore, games are never likely to become important for them. Besides, unlike children, many adults have lost the sincerity and curiosity. Obeying rules, which is a fundamental element, is not comfortable for adults. "Why should I?" They may ask and ask before, in, and after the games. Can one play games happily while he doubts and refuses to follow the rules? I don't think so. On the opposite, kids usually play without asking questions, and that's why they can enjoy the games. However, in some cases the matured need games, too. Games connect players. In a modern society, people need to have some sorts of interaction with others. Games offer a unique situation for people to talk, share and laugh. With the games, parents and kids have common activities. With the games, colleagues could relax and have a good time together after work. With the games, teachers make learning fun. Since no one can live alone, games seem to be a key to the world! In short, human beings need games. Though some adults see games as worthless, games play an influential role to them in some way. Children accept and love games unconditionally, while some adults subordinate. Hence, we can tell that the importance of games is different for adults and children. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.217.28.145 ※ 編輯: philJamy 來自: 61.217.28.145 (06/09 20:17)
