People learn in different ways. Some people learn by doing things; other people learn by reading about things; others learn by listening to people talk about things. Which of these methods of learning is best for you? Use specific examples to support your choice. ============================================================================ There’s an important controversy centering on the question of the ways to learn. One school of though attributes that learning by doing things is effective. Some groups, however, point to different possibilities. They support the view that learning by reading or listening about things are better. The effectiveness of the ways to learn varies from person to person, and each has its benefits. In my opinion, learning by practicing is the method that works best for me. There is an old Chinese saying,“it is better to travel far than to read voluminously.”It means that you should rather do more thing than study at home. Once you practice it, you know that the thing is not easy as you though, and you will learn more from it. Case in point, when professor give lecture to us on class, it seems the theory is easy to understand. However, once we have to utilize it, many problems appear. Just like that all of us know a variety of marketing methods. Nevertheless, we mixed up all of them and did not know how to use them when we had to analyze in a report. On the side of coin, if you learn everything though executing it, it not only wastes your time but also not fits in with beneficial result. You may spend a little time to learn a simple thing in a book or from a person, but you have to pay double or even more time to get it by doing it. Although you could learn it well by practicing, you have to pay much more time than you learn it by listening or reading. The only advantage is that you will bear it in mind deeply and not forget it easily. According the above-mentioned, I think that learning through experience is the top choice for me. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 122.118.70.140
