抱歉在前文推一個, 自己也不曉得是在推什麼意思..
敝人有一點小意見您參考看看.
1, cover letter 跟 biography 是不同的東西: 前者是讓 employer 了解您的企圖, 而
後者則是您個人的簡歷. 您的文章, 我有點看不太出來是 cover letter 還是 biography.
2, biography 相對來講比較好寫, 也比較不會受所應徵職位的影響. 畢竟人生苦短, 一輩
子能作(作過)的事情就那些. 這個其實有很多範本可以看. 像很多業/學界大師的 papers
的 biography 都是很好的範本. 關鍵是, 要用第三者的角度, 客觀的寫下自己在各個時期
留下的記錄. 這個您自行上網就可以找到很多很好的例子.
3, cover letter 是要用一頁的空間去說服 employer 繼續往下看. 所以某一種程度上,
可以說是比較 emtional 的 biography. 你寫的這個, 比較像是 cover letter.
4, 即使是寫 cover letter, 您也要站在 employer 的角度想. 試想, 今天你要請一個人,
你真的會在乎他/她的祖訓是什麼嗎? 是不是應該將你覺得這個職位適合你(而不是其它競
爭者)的原因是什麼寫下來?
5, 最後, 您的英文很好. 應該還比我好. 但感覺上, 很像是用中文在講英文. 雖然文法
種種大致上都行 (有些地方不太對, 例如複數格沒注意), 但讀起來就很想先翻回中文再
讀..舉個例子, 您可以算一下第一句用了幾個介係詞..雖然不是說介係詞多就不好, 但要
了解的是, 文章字數有限, 這種沒辦法提供太多資訊的詞類只會多佔去寶貴的空間.
這是我個人想法. 我不很了解為什麼台灣本土商會要求 biography in English, 但在海外
, 應徵研究或開發的工作(我想其他領域應也差不多), 大致上是這樣的. 您參考看看.

台企還要Biography in English?
Interview 時很多時候只有 Resume, 沒有 CV 是正確的. 但你可以 1 page Cover Letter
加 2 pages Resume, 那沒有很過份. 反正, 你 Cover Letter 寫得好, 人家有興趣, 再多
頁也讀下去. 寫不好的話, 不管後面有2頁還是20頁, 那都不重要了不是嗎?
Cover Letter 有一點 Bio 的作用, 這個要好好寫倒是真的. 不過, 你現在這個版本, 我
看不出來有什麼 selling points. 並且, 您也不需要想要在文章中表達 personality.
那個寫再好也不會有人看. 在文章中寫 "我很帥" 有用? 還是直接給對方看你帥的地方?
