"Our analysis calculates a potential market opportunity for UPST of $59B in revenue today, rising to $77B by 2030," Clinch writes in a note to clients, adding that the company's market penetration is currently only at 1.3%. He estimates an increase to 6% by FY2030, "driving annualized revenue growth of 22% over the next decade." Upstart's platform uses artificial intelligence to help banks assess consumer credit risk. Sets a price target of $290, implying potential upside of 17% from Friday's close. For Upstart (UPST), risks include customer concentration, with more than 60% of its revenue coming from Cross River Bank and ~50% of its customer traffic coming from Credit Karma. "Growth is also contingent on investor demand for securitized loan portfolios," the analyst said. Clinch's Overweight rating aligns with the average Wall Street rating of Bullish (3 Very Bullish, 4 Bullish). The average SA Author rating also heavily leans Bullish (2 Very Bullish, 4 Bullish, 2 Neutral, 1 Bearish).
