不知道你的句子是不是自己造出來的
因為的確有兩種意思沒錯，但用法不是都rather than
以我的見解
如果你要把rather後面接的名詞當成肯定的話，用法如下
We won't have the meeting in the classroom, but rather in the aduitorium
因為通常以你舉的例子we will…………in the classroom rather than in the
auditorium 在這是"而不是"的意思，通常來說
如果真的有你說的用法，那只有請高手來解答了

因為發文者好像要的是 與其…倒不如，所以我就沒有講rather…than…因為意思是
寧願;喜歡…和…比的話，所以我用了 but rather來和他說，因為這也是比較強勢
的語氣 翻成中文是說 恰恰相反而是這樣… 的意思
