This project started at the end of 2010 and has been developing till now. To
start with, a prototype was developed by my colleague to verify a
silicon-proved mobile SOC. After that I took over the job and extended it to
verify succeeding SOCs. Normally I was the major programmer and architecture
planner. However, my colleague would create a branch of code if there were two
ongoing SOCs at the same time. In that case, I need to ensure the code quality
and integrity by using Perforce version control system. Usually I refactored
codes to merge several braches into single one branch once a week.
Several design patterns are applied in the testbench. Firstly, UVM itself is
a template method because it defines a set of phases during simulation.
Secondly, factory method and builder pattern are used to provide flexibility
in creating objects in UVM-defined build phase. Thirdly, a singleton of a
centralized scoreboard is implemented as a golden behavior model of XXX.
