根據這種內共生理論，粒腺體或葉綠體原來都是原核生物，侵入了其他真核
生物後逐漸演化成真核生物的胞器，所以還保有一些原核生物的特徵，如
環狀 DNA 等等（大部分的細菌都是環狀的）。
當然這段英文也有點問題，粒腺體或葉綠體的 DNA 我們一般是不叫 chromosome
的。
