Dont care too much for the GPA. They know the GPA stuff varies country to country, like I got accecpted by GSU(Actuarial Science)
with 2.3 GPA in Applied Math Dept. of Nccu . I think the point is showing them that you are qualified with some
particular qualities they are looking for which would vary with schools. Dont get
frustrated and put more emphasis on ur statement of purpose or you might as well
correspond with them in advance for some further info in cirriculum to impress them by ur aggressive intention and interests.
In your case, passing 1 or 2 courses would be ideal but not neccesary(most student enter with 0 or 1 course) and retake toefl to 240 surely a plus.
